Leah Marie Package Design

For this project, I had to a product line that contains at least three different yet cohesive elements. In order to expand upon my love of sustainability and ethical products, I wanted to create a skincare line. As someone who values high-quality, ethical products, I chose to develop a line of products that are ethically sourced, all-natural, and meant to nurture the skin with products that are gentle.

For the logo, I chose to make it simple, with the initials of the company delicately inscribed in a thin circle. Doing this makes it scalable and it mirrors the message of the product that emphasizes simplicity. The colors of the packaging are delicate greens and neutrals because they symbolize purity, nature, the environment, tranquility, and health. These kinds of colors combined with the imagery of the leaves will have a calming and soothing effect on people, which is what the goal feeling is for consumers of the skincare line.

The typeface for the brand name is a glamorous, serif typeface with thin strokes and small serifs. It illustrates the notion of a great quality product. A beautiful script typeface names the products and contrasts well with the rigid straight lines and serifs of the other. To emphasize the natural, earthy ingredients of the product, the other typefaces are more playful, warm, and fun.
